On 29th June 2023, the first meeting of our new look Nature for Health Steering Group took place online and in person within the centre of Manchester. This steering group has been established following the end of the 2-yr national green social prescribing pilot. The group comprises 20 individuals, from programme delivery partners and cross-sector experts, who will meet every 2 months.
The Vision:
The Nature for Health Steering Group will seek to continue the partnerships and workstreams developed over the last two years and is committed to growing and delivering green social prescribing and new approaches to nature-based health interventions across Greater Manchester, particularly within those communities facing the biggest health inequalities.
The Nature for Health Steering Group will act as a voice for the health and environmental sector, providing leadership and resources to the Nature for Health network.
